Britney, I just stumbled across this (love it all) and can't help but comment from the SE CT shoreline - I happily support the Stonington Kelp Co and Fishers Island Oyster Farm, both of which are very thoughtful about their regenerative aquaculture. Happy to help with an introduction to the oyster farm, or to have a coffee as I build my writer/editor community in CT!
Writing wildly from the Pittsburgh area here! Currently, I write about movies and TV for Collider, and I also started a newsletter called Sophomore Slump, devoted to music. But I love writing about this area. It has so much more to offer than people give it credit for.
Janelle! Hi! I'm embarrassed to say that I've never been to Pittsburgh. I really need to change that, especially since it's not that far from Connecticut. I've heard great things. Looking forward to checking out Sophomore Slump!
I am a nonfiction editor, writer, and educator who writes wildly from, in, about, and around in a small town in the rural Southern USA, nestled between salt marsh, river, and the Atlantic ocean. I write Reasons Not To Quit here on Substack as well as deeply-researched books, and take on a variety of projects for clients large and small.
Wow, your little corner of the world must be stunning, surrounded by all that water and different ecosystems. Looking forward to checking out the work you produce from that special place!
I suppose I’m a wild writer as I write the wild rivers publication here on Substack, and spent a large swath of my life in the Grand Canyon. Happy to have stumbled on this recently (I think via Notes).
Hi Mackenzie! It's so nice to connect! Wild rivers sounds fascinating, and I'm definitely going to check it out. How cool that you spent all that time in the Grand Canyon. You must have so many great stories from then. I would love to do the rim-to-rim (to rim?) run one day!

Liz! It is so exciting to connect with a fellow CT writer! I'm going to message you. We definitely need to get coffee sometime. :)
